A few friends headed over to see the new Chelsea Piers park open up.  After all it’s not everyday that you get to see Puppet Head shake hands with Governor Patterson.  In the words of Jumonji you were given  “MAD O.G. RESPECT ANDY.”

PATERSON TELLING US WHAT ANDY’S LINE IN THE BOWL WOULD BE.

MURPH AND AMY.

PUPPET HEAD

Within days of moving to NYC in May 2006, Kessler managed to finagle me into driving him to Staten Island to check out a used car he was interested in.  The bait?  “I got some pools over there.”  Enough said.  After the test drive, we scoped one behemoth of a square pool, but weren’t able to skate ’cause maintenance guys were working on it.  The other, “a massive kidney,” we were unable to find; it’s locale lost in the cobwebs of Kess’ attic.  Last week I got a photo text from Pat Smith.  I knew right off what and where it was.  That Sunday, Pat, Jocko, Travis and I enjoyed a good long session in the massive pit.  Steep, deep and rough as shit, she still offered up a few sweet spots that we managed to take advantage of.  Happy Mother’s Day, indeed.  Wish you’d been there Andy!  -TF

Smithers, color coordinated safety grab on a mini-cruiser with softies

Not to be out styled, Jocko adds a new hat to a smooth frontal in the sweet spot.

Having been denied on Mother’s Day, Travis was back within 48 hrs. to roll away from this ladder hop, and insure himself a good night’s sleep.

If you can go over the death box, the pool’s rad!

We got the boot before Conor figured out the ladder hippy jump. Next time…….

Back in Kess’ favorite heckling grounds we found this Williamsburg gem. Not a good look.
